 Test of English as a foreign Language
The TOEFL test is the most widely accepted English language test in U.S.A. Students looking for an entrance in US universities and colleges for higher studies need to appear for the TOEFL test. It evaluates the aptitude of non native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written and heard in indigenous countries. More than 4,400 colleges accept TOEFL scores. The TOEFL test measures your ability to communicate in English in colleges and universities. You can take the test as an Internet-based Test (IBT) or a paper-based test (PBT).
ETS has the prerequisite of reporting your TOEFL scores to a maximum of four universities of your choice, the cost of which is built into the TOEFL charge you pay. Therefore you have to choose the four universities to whom you wish your score to be sent before you instigate to take the test. For reporting to each additional university ETS charges you $15.

IELTS
International English Language Testing System
The IELTS test is necessary to be taken by non-native students for study in countries where the medium of education is English. Among the popular Study destinations IELTS is accepted by the universities of UK , Australia , New Zealand and Canada . In the United States it is increasingly gaining recognition as an Alternative to TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). It has become a mandatory test for study in Australia .
What type of IELTS should you take?
You can take either the Academic or General Training Reading and Writing modules. Choose the Academic Reading and Writing module if you are planning to undertake Academic study in a higher education institution. If you are planning to commence non-academic training or apply for immigration to Australia , Canada or New Zealand , we urge you taken the General Training Reading and Writing modules.
You will be tested in listening, reading, writing and speaking in whichever module you decide to take. If you are unsure of which module to take, please ask our examination Co-co-ordinator.

How mush will IELTS cost
Registration fees (British Council) for the exam are Rs. 12,000.00 for either the General Training or Academic modules.

SAT
Scholastic Aptitude Test
It is a requirement for admissions in most American colleges for undergraduate study and deals for scholarships, too. It is sponsored bye College Boa4rd of USA and administered by ETS. SAT is 3 hrs and 45 minutes paper based test.
It assesses student’s aptitude in both verbal and quantitative skills. Test compresses Reading Writing and quantitative skills.

GRE
Graduate Record Examination
GRE is usually a requirement for admissions, assistantship and scholarship for the aspirant of graduate level in most American universities. GRE scores is admission requirement for master and doctoral programs in different field other then management. It mainly puts to test your logical, verbal and quantitative ability.
The maximum mark to this exam is 1600. It is a computer adaptive test administered at USEF in Nepal.
It has 3 section, analytical writing, verbal, and quantitative.

GMAT
Graduate Management Admission Test
GMAT is designed to assess mathematical, verbal and analytical writing skills. It measures your ability to apply knowledge, rather than the knowledge you have . It is a computer based test that contains both multiple choice and essay question.
GMAT is focused for the students, who are planning to pursue graduate study in American University and other Universities in Japan, India, and Canada also require GMAT score.
